One of our most popular indoor locations, the National Cycling Centre in Sportcity provides an excellent indoor venue for the league with two courts. The lovely sprung floor ensures you can jump even higher than normal and there’s plenty of run off space around the side of the courts. There’s plenty of free parking, even when Manchester City play at home!
Our very first venue in Liverpool, IM Marsh is in leafy Aigburth and is well placed to host our netball leagues. This venue has an impressive three outdoor netball courts and two indoor courts. Situated on Liverpool John Moores campus, it has free parking and with Lark Lane not too far away, plenty of places to socialise after your game.
Boasting some impressive indoor and outdoor facilities, Wright Robinson Sports College near Gorton has been a popular addition to the Simple Netball venues. With three indoors courts and eight all-weather floodlit outdoor courts, this venue is well placed to host high quality netball fixtures. Sport England and Manchester City Council have made a significant investment in the netball facilities at Wright Robinson over the summer of 2011 which means that Northern Thunder will be making it their home for the 2011-2012 season. Exciting times ahead!
Boasting both indoor and outdoor facilities, the location of William Hulme Grammar School in Fallowfield is often the deciding factor for teams choosing to play there. The school has two purpose-built outdoor courts with plenty of run off space around them. During the winter months, there is also an indoor league in the sports hall. There is plenty of parking at the school right next to the courts.
Our original location and probably our most popular, MMU’s Didsbury Sports Centre in the heart of Didsbury offers an excellent outdoor venue with plenty of opportunities to socialise after your match. There are two outdoor netball courts, changing and showering facilities and ample free parking on the MMU site.
Lostock College in Stretford continues to be a popular south Manchester venue. The single indoor court plays host to a Wednesday league through the winter months.
